Transphobic Big Brother star George is removed from house over ‘unacceptable language and behaviour’
He had already become one of the series’ most divisive figures thanks to his views on so-called transgender "ideology", homelessness and addiction

George has been removed from the Big Brother house with immediate effect following what producers described as “unacceptable language and behaviour”.
A Big Brother spokesperson confirmed the decision, adding that the parish councillor will not return to the ITV reality show. “Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme,” the statement reads.
The 23-year-old had already become one of the series’ most divisive figures thanks to his views on so-called transgender “ideology”, homelessness and addiction.
“Gender ideology is being forced on vulnerable minds, like children” – Big Brother’s George
During a discussion with queer housemate Sam, George previously expressed concern that a “gender ideology is being forced on vulnerable minds, like children”. George also said he’d “heard cases where kids get the op done and everything, and that’s irreversible and then they change their mind and realise they were just gay”.
He was given a formal warning earlier this week, too, after his conduct towards the singer.
It followed a game of spin the bottle in which George was asked to name what he disliked most about each housemate – and then mocked Sam’s voice and physicalities using a limp wrist. He was reprimanded and apologised to Sam, but producers felt the apology lacked sincerity after George later put Sam up for eviction over the same incident.
PR guru Caroline misgendered bookies’ favourite Zelah
Producers say George had also been issued several other warnings for language deemed unacceptable; those exchanges were not broadcast because the content breached British broadcasting standards. The comments that ultimately led to his removal will also not be shown for the same reason. Despite the decision, George will still appear in tonight’s (8 October) episode of the series.
This week George was the most-nominated housemate and would have faced the public vote on Friday (10 October). Big Brother confirmed the eviction will continue as planned, with Richard, Elsa and Cameron B still up for the public to decide.
George’s exit comes amid a second controversy inside the house in 24 hours, after PR guru Caroline misgendered bookies’ favourite Zelah, calling him a “girl”.
