By Josh Haggis

Azealia Banks has surprised fans with the release of her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste.

The rapper dropped the long-delayed LP onto iTunes last night (November 6) with no warning.

Broke With Expensive Taste was originally due for release in 2012, following the huge buzz her track debut single 212 created.

Subsequent releases ATM Jam and Yung Rapunxel failed to make a similar impact, however, and after numerous album delays, her record label Universal decided to drop the mouthy rapper earlier this year.

Following the surprise release – which features recent singles Heavy Metal and Reflective and Chasing Time – the album has shot into the iTunes Top Ten in both the US and the UK.
