Azealia Banks announces new single following label split

Azealia Banks has announced her new single on Twitter.

The loud-mouthed rapper will release new track Heavy Metal and Reflective on July 29 – and will debut the music video simultaneously.

Banks also tweeted that she is shooting the cover for her album with fashion photographer Rankin next week – although there is no word yet on whether the album is her long-delayed LP Broke With Expensive Taste, or an entirely new album.

The 212 rapper revealed earlier this month (July) that she has been dropped by her record label. The exact details behind her split from Interscope Records are unknown, but Banks has been vocal about her desire to leave the label since last news.
