Aretha Franklin is to return with a new album later this month (September).

The Queen of Soul will release her first album in three years on September 30, Billboard  has confirmed.

The album is reportedly titled Aretha Franklin Sings Songs of the Great Divas, and will apparently feature covers of Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, Alicia Keys’ No One and Etta James’ At Last.

Franklin is said to have worked with R&B producer Babyface on the album, as well as legendary music boss Clive Davis. Her last album, Aretha: A Woman Falling Out of Love, was released in 2011.

Earlier this year, Franklin made waves online when a GIF in which she appeared to snub fellow diva Patti Labelle went viral – watch it here.
