Drag Race All Stars 2 is only two episodes in, but there has already been drama by the bucket-load, largely in thanks to the show’s new “Lip-sync for your legacy” format, which sees the top-two queens battle it out for $10,000 – and the power to boot off one of the three weakest queens.

However, an even more shocking and unexpected twist came in episode two, in the form of fan-favourite and season six finalist Adore Delano quitting the show – a decision that has never been seen before in Drag Race herstory.

Back in episode one, Michelle Visage picked Adore’s look apart, reigniting the pair’s historic feud over Delano’s grungy aesthetic. But this season, it proved a little too much to bear, and Adore left the workroom permanently in episode two.

Adore’s decision to quit split opinion online, with fans arguing over whether she should have taken Michelle’s fashion advice on board, or stuck to her ’90s aesthetic.

Now, the star – real name Danny Noriega – has set the record straight, recording a video on Periscope in which she reveals she took part in All Stars 2 during a tough time in her life, shortly after his father had passed away  passing away and his ex-boyfriend breaking up with him.

“Last year I had a super-emotional breakdown,” he says. “I was just constantly working to fill the void of not dealing with family issues and what was really happening with my self and self-esteem. I was going through a really dark depression.”

While Michelle was seen to be delivering the harshest critiques of Adore in episode one, the American Idol contestant has revealed that guest judge Raven-Symoné threw her fair share of shade too.

“It wasn’t all Michelle,” he explains. “The reason why I was super-hypersensitive about the whole sitch was that I was getting it from everywhere. It wasn’t just Michelle. It actually started with Raven-Symoné.”

“The thing that hurt my feelings was Raven. She said something super-gross.”

But will Adore let her detractors affect her? Hell no, it seems.

“I’ve worked too hard to be talked to like a weird-ass amateur by Raven-Symoné.”

You tell ’em, girl.
