Adam Rippon says he’s been ‘sleeping on’ Shawn Mendes
The gay Olympian has revealed who he's thirsting after
Adam Rippon has revealed which celebrity he’s crushing on.
The gay figure skater, who made history as one of the first openly gay athletes to compete in the 2018 Winter Olympics, dropped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show this week for an interview.
During the interview, Ellen asked the Olympian whether he had a boyfriend before asking him to reveal his celebrity crushes so she can set something up.
Rippon replied: “A solid answer is Jake Gyllenhaal. I used to have a really big crush on Harry Styles.”
When Ellen asked him what changed, Rippon said: “Here’s the thing, I was sleeping on Shawn Mendes.”
Ellen, clearly confused, replied: “I’m sorry?”
“I was sleeping on Shawn Mendes,” Rippon said, before adding: “Not literally. But I didn’t realise how cute he was.”
After clarifying that he meant that he had never noticed how cute he was, Rippon joked: “And I know Harry will be upset, but love is a funny thing.”
Ellen then suggested Rippon should focus on out gay men: “Those are all good, solid choices,” she said. “I would say I’m going to direct you in the direction of some gay men. You’re gonna have a better shot at it.”
Rippon added: “People have told me that.”
