Cooper first gained wider attention after broadcaster and musician Huey Morgan named her one of his favourite UK vocalists on BBC Radio 6 Music. Her music has since received support from outlets including BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 Music and Jazz FM.
Producer Tony Visconti has described Cooper as having “a very unique sound” and “a singular voice”, while BBC Radio 6 Music presenter Chris Hawkins said: “Collette has the most extraordinary voice, it gives me goosebumps.”
