Nicola Adams has won the Attitude Active Award 2014, supported by aussieBum.

Adams become the first female boxer to win an Olympic title when she secured gold in the flyweight division at the London games in 2012.

The bisexual athlete topped The Independent’s list of the 100 most influential LGBT people in the UK that year.

This August, she added gold at the Commonwealth Games – once again in the flyweight division – to her growing list of sporting achievements.

The 31-year-old was presented with her prize by Andrew Hayden-Smith at tonight’s star-studded awards ceremony at Banqueting House in Whitehall, London, which is being hosted by Scissor Sisters star Ana Matronic.

Nicola Adams has also posed for the latest Attitude – the Awards Issue – and appears on one of nine special collectible covers. See below.
