Cyndi Lauper was joined by a pair of very special back-up singers during a recent gig: Liza Minnelli and Rosie O’Donnell.

The unlikely duo accompanied Lauper as she belted out her signature hit Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. O’Donnell sang and played tambourine, while Minnelli contributed both vocals and some of her trademark dance moves.

The ridiculously gay collaboration took place at New York’s Barclays Center on Friday night (May 9), when Lauper was opening for Cher on the Believe singer’s ‘Dressed to Kill Tour’.

Lauper joined the ‘Dressed to Kill Tour’ last month (April) and will serve as Cher’s support act until the tour draws to a close in July. At present, no UK and Ireland dates have been added to the tour.
