A Columbian politician has criticised Shakira for ‘promoting’ lesbianism and immorality in her new music video.

Marco Fidel Ramirez, from the Public Option Party in Shakira’s native country, is calling for the video to be banned from public television.

Shakira and Rihanna recently unveiled the music video for their new single Can’t Remember To Forget You, which features them getting up close and personal on a bed.

“Our Shakira with her erotic video is promoting tobacco usage and has become the worst example for our youth,” Ramirez tweeted.

He added that the visual is a “shameless case for lesbianism and immorality”, and therefore “a danger to children”.

He also used the hashtag #PeligroVideoShakira, which translates to ‘Dangers of Shakira’s Video’.

“It sends a provocative message to weak people who can be polluted and induced to practice (lesbianism),” he added.

Shakira and Rihanna’s music video has already passed 85 million views on YouTube.

What do you think of Shakira and Rihanna’s new music video? Has it induced you to become a practicing lesbian?
