Madonna teams up with Haim/Sky Ferreira producer
By Nick Levine

Madonna has added yet another name to the team of songwriters and producers she has assembled for her new album: Grammy-winner Ariel Rechtshaid.
Songwriter/producer Rechtshaid, who hails from LA, worked on some of last year’s most acclaimed albums, including Haim’s Days Are Gone, Sky Ferreira’s Night Time, My Time and Vampire Weekend’s Modern Vampires of the City. He also co-wrote Usher’s 2012 hit Climax and co-wrote and produced If Only, a track on Kylie’s latest album Kiss Me Once.
Madonna tagged Rechtshaid in a photo she posted on Instagram yesterday (May 10), alongside several other collaborators she has already revealed she is working with: MIA/Beyoncé producer Diplo, Wrecking Ball co-writer MoZella and US hitmaker Toby Gad. Nick Rowe, a studio engineer who often works with Rechtshaid, was also tagged by Madonna in the photo.
“These People! This music! @diplo @mozella @tobygad @arielrechtshaid @nickrowe @gotosleepmotherf$&ckers!” the Queen of Pop wrote alongside the picture, which appears below.
In recent months, Madonna has used Instagram to reveal the diverse palette of collaborators she has assembled for her new album – which now comprises Rechtshaid, MoZella, Gad, Diplo, DJ/producer Avicii,, former Lady Gaga collaborator Martin Kierszenbaum, cult pop singer Natalia Kills and US R&B producer Symbolyc One.
Last month (April) photographer Mert Alas sparked rumours that the album was already finished when he said he was listening to it, but it is clear from Madonna’s latest Instagram posts that she is still working on new material.
Madonna’s last studio album, MDNA, was released in 2012 and reached number one in the US and UK. She scored her 13th and most recent UK chart-topping single with 4 Minutes in 2008.
