The best of Burberry’s Spring/Summer ’22 Menswear collection
'Universal Passport' puts a fun-filled twist on the label's traditional style.

Chief creative officer of Burberry, Riccardo Tisci has taken inspiration from music and captured the spirit of youth for the label’s Spring/Summer 2022 Menswear collection. Entitled ‘Universal Passport’, with its flowing silhouettes the new range exudes fluidity and freedom. It truly feels like a breath of fresh (spring) air.
Leather panels and cut-outs — some of the shirts are giving us major Regina George vibes — inject a more carefree, rebellious feel, with fun pieces such as black-leather halterneck tops, cut-out vests, briefs and coats that have been updated with a twist on Burberry’s traditional style.
Showing off a little more, with a little less, Burberry is breaking away from convention by going sleeveless — find the new look on shirts, leather bomber jackets, and even the iconic Burberry trench coat.
The new-season palette takes notes from the great outdoors, with the staple Burberry beige tones mixed in with peachy pinks and pale topaz blues reminiscent of the watery spring light. Burberry’s motif print of the season, also named the ‘universal passport’, features abstract curves that evoke flowing forms of camouflage.
There’s plenty to excite in accessories, too, as the brand introduces the Lola bag. The younger sibling of their popular TB bag, it is versatile and unisex: wear it as a crossbody, a carry or a clutch. With the Thomas Burberry Monogram clasp and chain strap, it’s available in black, white and camel. We love a high-functioning, overachiever of an accessory.
