While Donatella Versace remains Chief Brand Ambassador of Versace, she’s not done designing just yet. On Monday, Versace announced a new joint venture with digital retailer Revolve, marking her return to a creative leadership role after stepping down as Versace’s chief creative officer in 2025.

The as-yet-unnamed business will be an independent fashion and beauty venture built around Versace’s personal creative vision, with the designer taking on the role of Chief Creative Officer. In other words, this isn’t a comeback collection or a nostalgic trip through the Versace archives. It’s a clean slate.

The project will launch with beauty, with the first products and venture name arriving in the coming months. Fashion will follow, although exactly what that will look like remains firmly under wraps for now.

The venture will operate as a digital-first platform, bringing together Revolve’s e-commerce technology, operations and marketing infrastructure with Versace’s decades of influence across fashion, music and popular culture.

“I believe creativity should be fearless, inclusive and alive in the world,” Versace said of the partnership. “This partnership gives me the freedom to speak to that generation in a completely new and personal way, through beauty and fashion.”

That focus on the next generation is key. Revolve has positioned the venture around the way younger consumers discover style, experience culture, shop, and connect online, making it less a traditional fashion house and more a global creative playground.

For Revolve co-founder and co-CEO Michael Mente, the partnership offers a chance to give one of fashion’s defining creative voices the freedom to build something from scratch. “This partnership gives that vision an entirely new platform and the freedom to build something from the ground up,” he said.
