Blondie have joined the line-up for this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

Singer Debbie Harry confirmed the news and put an end to speculation that the group will perform in Somerset in June.

She told Metro at the NME Awards: “We just heard today – we’re going to be doing Glastonbury.”

Blondie join headliners Arcade Fire on the bill, as well as Dolly Parton, who confirmed her appearance today (February 27).

Earlier this month, Harry revealed that the group had turned down the opportunity to perform in Sochi during the recent Winter Olympics.

The singer posted the band’s offer letter on Twitter with the words “Pass – Human Rights” written over it.
