Watch: Kentucky gay couple denied marriage licence again

By Attitude Magazine

A Kentucky marriage office has been captured on video again refusing same-sex marriage licences for two gay couples, despite a federal judge ordering them to do so.

Towleroad reports this appalling display of bigotry is the second time that the office of Rowan County clerk Kim Davis have turned away gay couples, despite US Federal Judge David Bunning ruling the office must comply with the Supreme Court decision to legalise same-sex marriage across the United States.

With Davis on leave, Gay couple David Moore and David Ermold were told by deputy staffer Nathan Davis alongside another gay couple that marriage licences would not be issued in the clerk’s absence.

“It’s a complete embarrassment that we have to pay any taxes in this county altogether to people who don’t do their job, that’s just the bottom line,” said one half of the couple.

“They know what they’re doing, but that’s fine because I’m a patient person”.

Moore and Ermold, who have been together for 17 years, were refused a marriage licence back in July, despite providing Supreme Court paperwork which advised all US counties to issue them.

Davis has filed a lawsuit against Kentucky Govenor Steve Beshear, alleging her religious freedom has been violated through issuing same-sex marriage licences and after receiving legal counsel from anti-gay group Liberty Counsel.
