Tom Daley is finding parenthood easier than he thought

Tom Daley cannot believe how easy he finds going back to sleep after feeding son Robbie.
The Olympic diver and his husband Dustin Lance Black welcomed their first son together back in June via surrogacy and the 24 year old has had to learn the very basic steps of how to raise a child, but he admitted he has surprised himself.
Speaking to the Metro, Daley said: “You have the steepest learning curve when you become a parent, you learn so much so quickly.
“I never really knew how to hold a baby. It’s one thing holding a new born when someone passes you then, but I was always like, ‘How do I put them down? How do I pass them to someone else?’
“You learn so quickly how to carry him, put him down, feed him, burp him, change his nappy, bath him.
“There were parts I thought would be harder, and parts I thought would be easier, and it changes every day.
“You never quite know what you’re going to get. I’ve been quite surprised at how easy I found going back to sleep after feeding him.”
Unlike Daley, Black revealed he cannot get back to sleep and joked: “I can confirm how impossible it is for me to go back asleep.”
Daley then added: “I can go back asleep like that. He struggles. I always thought it would be hard to get him to eat, as well, but he’s a hungry hippo.”
The couple have also made history being the first ever same-sex family to be the brand ambassadors for the diaper range Pampers.
