This Pot Noodle advert on gender stereotypes is a big hit

A Pot Noodle TV advert challenging expected gender roles has gone down a storm since premiering this week.

The minute-long spot shows a guy training in the hope of, we assume, becoming a boxer.

However as the clip progresses it turns out he wants to be the “ring boy”, a job traditionally carried out by a woman.

Both the comedy and the heartwarming message of the ad have made it very popular very quickly; with 60,000 spins on YouTube and mostly positive responses on social media.

Being aired during an ad break on The X Factor last night has also added to its buzz.
