The Wanted have announced that they will “take time to pursue personal endeavours” following their upcoming tour.

The Glad You Came group released an official statement via their official website, which reassured fans that they fully intend to work with each other again in the future.

The statement read: “This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour’s conclusion.

“The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour.”

The Wanted’s most recent album Word of Mouth charted at number nine in the UK and number 17 in the US when it was released in November.

The record – which was preceded by the release of five singles – was met with a mixed response from critics.

The group’s Word of Mouth tour kicks off in Cologne, Germany on February 8. The tour reaches UK shores on March 14 and will conclude in May following a US leg.
