Sydney man charged with sexually assaulting teen boy in his front garden

A man has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage boy in his front garden.
Australian Moud Ul Hasan Nuri, 40, reportedly started speaking to the 13-year-old boy on hook-up app Grindr in September before making plans to meet each other in person.
However, the boy then deleted the app and cut off any contact. But Nuri – who knew where the boy lived after they exchanged details – allegedly drove down to his Sydney home and approached him in his front garden.
Nuri is said to have then pushed the teenager on to the ground to have sexually assaulted him. After the teen’s mother intervened, Nuri ran to his car and drove away.
The victim was taken to The Children’s Hospital for examination and Nuri was arrested and charged with one count of sexual intercourse without consent on the same night.
He was granted conditional bail but he must report to the police every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Nuri is also banned from stepping within 500 metres of the child’s suburbs or contacting the witness, and he had his passport confiscated.
His case has been adjourned until December 13.
Sydney police have released a statement advising parents and wrote: “Spend time talking to your child about the dangers associated with online conversations, particularly when communicating with someone that they have only ever met online.”
