Stonewall hits back at ‘vicious’ and ‘inaccurate’ Sunday Times article
The article claimed Stonewall employee Morgan Page was a 'former trans stripper'

Stonewall have hit back at The Sunday Times after it published a “vicious” and “inaccurate” article about the Big Lottery Fund.
Over the weekend, the newspaper claimed that £500,000 was donated to the LGBT charity for its transgender rights activism which led to accusations claiming that the Lottery broke its rules on political donations.
It also named transgender activist Morgan Page – who also works for Stonewall – as a ‘former trans stripper’ and the charity revealed they will be making a formal complaint against the newspaper.
In a statement, they said: “Today The Sunday Times have published a vicious article, directly placing an individual member of Stonewall staff at the centre of its criticism of our work.
“While a newspaper should scrutinise, and provide a platform for different views, it must also be accurate.

“This article contains a number of inaccuracies and we will be making a formal complaint to the paper.
“The named member of staff is an important and valued member of the Stonewall team and, like everyone at Stonewall, she plays a vital role every day to build acceptance without exception for LGBT people.”
Earlier this month, the newspaper was criticised for publishing an article against the transgender charity Mermaids causing the Big Lottery Fund to review whether to donate £500,000 to them.
