Stonewall Awards to take place in London this Thursday

The 2014 Stonewall Awards will take place in London this Thursday (November 6).

Gay comic Julian Clary will host the annual event, which is held by the LGB rights charity to celebrate members of the community who have had a positive impact on the lives of British lesbian, gay and bisexual people.

Notable nominations for this year’s ceremony include Tom Daley and actress Ellen Page, who are both nominated for Hero of the Year after coming out over the last 12 months.

Attitude contributor Matt Cain has been nominated for Writer of the Year, and attitude.co.uk is in the running for Publication of the Year.

Meanwhile, Attitude‘s Love & Marriage campaign with Moss Bros, which featured Union J’s Jaymi Hensley and his fiancé Olly Marmon, is up for the Advert of the Year prize.

This year’s ceremony marks the 25th anniversary of the awards, and is being held at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum.
