A tweet from a young gay man responding to his homophobic attacker has gone viral online.

Cole Ledford, an openly gay student from Ohio, was punched in the face earlier this week by a man who disapproved of him kissing his boyfriend in public.

In a Twitter post that has since been retweeted over 30,000 times, Ledford shared a picture of his face following the incident and told his attacker that he “feels sorry” for him because he evidently felt “threatened” by a gay man. Check it out below.

Meanwhile, Orange is the New Black actress Lea DeLaria has explained why she felt the need to confront an anti-gay preacher on the New York subway earlier this month (November) — find out more here.
