Sir Elton John says George Michael was ‘uncomfortable’ about being gay and said he ‘didn’t want’ to live any longer.
The former Wham! frontman died of a heart attack on Christmas Day back in 2016 and while reflecting on his friend’s life while speaking to Sharon Osbourne, Elton suggested George hate being gay.
He said: “He was so uncomfortable in his skin about being gay even though he said he wasn’t.”
George first publicly acknowledged his sexuality back in 1999 but struggled with ongoing drug addictions.
And Elton said he tried and failed to get the ‘Faith’ singer to seek help for his addiction.
“He couldn’t get it, George,” Elton continued. “And he resented the fact that I had hinted that maybe he change his life a little bit and he’d be happier if he tried something.
“The person has actually got to want it. It’s like me in the end; I really wanted it.
“I had two alternatives: one, to die, and one to live, and I wanted to live.
