Sam Smith splits from Brandon Flynn after just nine months together
The singer started dating the actor shortly before the release of his second album

Sam Smith has split from his boyfriend Brandon Flynn.
The ‘Writings on the Wall’ singer dated the 13 Reasons Why star for nine months, shortly before the release of Smith’s second album but last week the couple decided to end their relationship, The Sun Online revealed.
A source close to Smith said: “Sam and Brandon had a real whirlwind romance. They really fell for each other.
“But they are both so busy with their careers and unfortunately things just haven’t worked out. Sam is obviously devastated.
“This is the most significant relationship he has ever had. Thankfully he is on tour across the US at the moment which has been a welcome distraction.”
Last night (June 27), the superstar deleted several pictures of the pair together from his Instagram account.
The couple seemed to be happy for the duration of their short-lived relationship with Flynn introducing Smith to his parents.
Back in January, Smith said he was loved up and said he deserved to be happy and even was contemplating writing some “happy love songs”.
He said: “I’m in a relationship right now and for the first time, I think I deserve to be happy.
“I’m actually asking myself if I’m going to be writing some happy love songs soon.”
