Man jailed after attempting to rob man he met on dating app
Desmond Clements reportedly has a lengthy criminal background

A man has been charged with robbery after using a gay dating app to rob another man.
Desmond Clements – who reportedly has a lengthy criminal background – lives in Atlanta and over the weekend, he arranged to meet another man using the app Jack’d at the home he was staying in, the Tennessean reported.
When the man arrived, Clements demanded $100 from him but when the man said he didn’t have any money, he jumped into his car and “honked the horn repeatedly stating he had friends with guns inside”.
Clements then drove the man to a cash machine in Nashville and when the victim got out of the car, he was told that the longer he took the more damage his car would endure.
Clements allegedly keyed the man’s car.
The victim told a witness he was being robbed and they proceeded to call the police who arrived and arrested Clements.
It’s claimed that Clements began to laugh when he was taken to jail and said: “You don’t even have the real me, because that isn’t me.”
He then told police his real name and they learned that he had an outstanding warrant out of Georgia.
Now, he has been jailed in Nashville on $11,500 bond.
