Man charged over spate of attacks and stabbings allegedly targeting gay men

A man has been charged over a series of attacks and stabbings in California which allegedly targeted gay men.
Joshua Immanuel Ebow, 30, was arrested on 3 January in connection with a spate of violent attacks in Los Angeles over the Christmas and New Year period, Westside Today reports.
Ebow is accused of punching two victims and stabbing two others because of their perceived sexuality during attacks at shops and restaurants in Culver City, Inglewood and West LA between 25 December and 2 January.
According to the LA Times, detectives believe other people may have been harmed and are yet to come forward.

Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday (30 January) that Ebow had been two felony counts each of assault with a deadly weapon and battery, and one felony count of exhibiting a deadly weapon.
The attacks are officially being treated as hate crimes, with Ebow facing up to 14 years in state prison if convicted.
He is currently being held on bail of $250,000.
