A man has been arrested for allegedly attacking a teenager on a bus in Bristol.

Kydis Zellinger, 18, was travelling on a First Bus over the weekend when he claims he was reportedly punched in the face and head during an alleged homophobic attack.

Now, Avon and Somerset Constabulary have confirmed that a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack, according to BristolLive.

A police spokesperson said: “A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of racially or religiously aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm.”

The arrest likely corresponds to the alleged homophobic nature of the offence, which is being treated as a hate crime by police.
