JoJo signs new deal with Atlantic Records

JoJo has signed a new record deal with Atlantic Records, after a bitter seven-year battle with previous label Blackground Music to end her contract.

After struggling to get her third album released, she took legal action against Blackground last summer, claiming that because she signed the deal as a minor, she couldn’t be held to the contract for more than seven years.

JoJo, now 22, became the youngest ever solo artist to top a US Billboard  chart when she released her debut single Leave (Get Out) in 2004. She has scored two top five albums in the US, the last released way back in 2006.
