Robbie de Santos, Head of Campaigns, Stonewall said: “We’re thrilled that so many of our celebrity friends want people to know that they stand side by side with the LGBT community. So many lesbian, gay, bi and trans people still face fear, discrimination and abuse in their daily lives, whether at home, at work, at school, in sport, in their place of worship or indeed communities across the world.”

“Stonewall stands by the side of every single LGBT person, in Britain and abroad, and our work will not stop until they are all accepted without exception,” he continued.

Lawrence Barton, Director, Birmingham Pride said: “I’m totally supportive of and fully endorse Stonewall’s #ByYourSide campaign. The response over the weekend is another demonstration and illustration of Birmingham’s progressive and inclusive approach in promoting equality within our own culturally diverse community.”
