Ian Thorpe’s manager denies swimmer is dating Ricky Martin

Ian Thorpe’s manager has denied reports that the swimming champion is dating singer Ricky Martin. Peter Ford, who describes himself as “the best informed showbusiness commentator in Australia”, claimed that Thorpe and Martin are an item in a succession of tweets posted earlier today (September 12). He also claimed that Thorpe and Martin are preparing to reveal details of their relationship in an upcoming exclusive magazine deal. See his tweets below:

However, the swimmer’s manager, James Erksine, has since dismissed the reports as false, telling The Sydney Morning Herald‘s gossip column PS: “I think someone is having you on.” Martin has yet to comment on the rumours.
