Human Rights Campaign release #ThisIsTransgender video – WATCH

The Human Rights Campaign have released a new video to help answer the question: what does it mean to be transgender?
According to a recent HRC survey, 1/3 Americans know someone who’s transgender. But despite growing visibility, trans people face widespread discrimination and ignorance.
#ThisIsTransgender gives trans people the chance to explain what being trans means to them. The video features Orange Is The New Black star Laverne Cox, who said she “didn’t act the way someone who is assigned male at birth should act,” while teen trans activist Jazz Jennings described herself as having “a girl’s brain but a boy’s body.”
