Homophobe who attacked gay couple left ‘covered in own blood’
The tables turned on a man in downtown Manhattan over the weekend when the gay couple he physically and verbally assaulted fought back.
The New York Daily News reports Larry Lennox-Choate, and Daniel Lennox-Choite, who were the first gay couple to be married at West Point Military Academy in 2013, were shopping in SoHo on Sunday when an unidentified 40-year-old man set upon them with anti-gay slurs, before punching Daniel in the face.

“It’s hard to believe that in 2015 we would have to deal with anti-gay hate crimes in Soho of all places but that’s what happened today,” Larry wrote in a public post on Facebook.
“First off – we’re ok. Aside from one fat lip and a sore punching arm, we are fine. The guy who screamed anti-gay obscenities at us in a bodega before sucker-punching Danny? He left covered in his own blood with his tail between his legs after I handled the situation and tossed him in the street like the coward loser he is.”

Lennox-Choate said the NYPD hate crimes division were aware of the attack, and that he was optimistic of a positive outcome.
“We refuse to be victims and are thankful we can defend ourselves, but are saddened by the fact that idiots like this guy might not pick two guys who went through Plebe Boxing next time.”
The New York Daily News said no arrests have yet been made.
