George Michael’s ex-partner Fadi Fawaz has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

The 46-year-old hairdresser has been living in the Wham! frontman’s £5 million London home since Michael’s death on Christmas Day 2016 despite the mansion being left to his sister in Michael’s will.

According to the Metro, Fawaz was arrested and taken away by police on Tuesday (July 23) on suspicion of aggravated criminal damage and remained in custody overnight.

He reportedly smashed windows at the property – which is currently undergoing renovation works – and was seen standing topless on the roof of the house.

As police arrived, he climbed down from the roof and could be heard shouting: “I am not going there, I am not going there, I am staying here, I want to stay here.”

Due to the damage that was caused, firefighters were called and confirmed Fawaz was taken away by police.

Michael’s family had reportedly sent letters to Fawaz asking him to leave the property but so far, he has refused to do so.
