Exclusive: Tom Daley discusses sexuality on ‘Celebrity Juice’

Host Keith Lemon quizzes Tom Daley about his sexuality on Celebrity Juice tonight (April 3).
The Olympic diver made a low-key YouTube video last December in which he revealed he is in a relationship with a man.
“So Tom, let’s get right to the crunch here – you’re a gay man now?” Lemon asks on the ITV2 quiz show tonight.
“I am,” Daley replies.
Lemon then asks Daley if he has a boyfriend, to which Daley replies: “Yes, I do.”
Lemon follows with: “Did you have one [a boyfriend] when you announced it on YouTube?”
The 19-year-old sports star replies: “Yeah, that was the whole kind of reason behind it.”
“I was terrified,” Daley adds. “I didn’t know what the reaction was going to be. I mean, you always think the worst.”
Asked why he chose to come out in a YouTube video, Daley replies: “Because I wanted to be able to say what I wanted to say on my own terms without anyone twisting anything.”
Celebrity Juice airs tonight (April 3) at 10pm on ITV2.
