A man has been charged with hurling homophobic and racist abuse before hitting a woman with a bin.

Robbie Lynch, 20, reportedly hurled homophobic and racist remarks towards a woman and a man on December 29 at a property on Glenconnor Drive, in Dundee.

According to the Dundee Evening Telegraph, Lynch then punched and threw a mobile phone which smashed.

Lynch denies assaulting a second woman by throwing a bin at her which hit her.

He is also charged with allegedly punching the first woman before grabbing and twisting her arms.

He pleaded not guilty to all the charges and is set to go on trial in April before being granted bail.
