‘Drag Race’ season 6 to premiere on UK Netflix at midnight

The latest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race will premiere on UK Netflix at midnight (July 31).

Season six of the world’s fiercest reality show – which aired in the US on LGBT network LOGO earlier this year – features queens including Bianco Del Rio, Adore Delano, Courtney Act and Laganja Estranja.

The series will not include the controversial ‘Female or Shemale’ game – which saw contestants try to determine whether a photo showed a cis-gender (non-trans) woman or a former Drag Race contestant – after some viewers complained that the segment’s language was transphobic.

RuPaul later hit back at critics of the show, saying: “Bitch, you need to get stronger.”

Earlier this week (July 27), it was revealed that a sequel to hit mobile game RuPaul’s Drag Race: Dragopolis is in the works, with a release date to be announced soon.

Last month (June), RuPaul and fellow judge Michelle Visage discussed a potential UK version of the show after it was reported that Jonathan Ross has acquired the rights to the series – Click here to find out more.

The first five seasons of Drag Race have been available on UK Netflix since last December.
