Church of England bishops back inquiry into gay conversion therapy
The charity Ozanne Foundation are set to launch a survey into people in the UK who have engaged in the therapy

Church of England bishops have backed an inquiry into gay conversion therapy.
The so-called conversion therapy is still being used by some religious groups in a bid to try and convert LGBT people but now two senior Church of England bishops have backed a new survey by the charity the Ozanne Foundation.
The new survey will survey people in the UK who have engaged with gay conversion therapy – which the Church of England voted for a ban on the practice back in 2017, The Sunday Times reported.
Paul Bayes, the Bishop of Liverpool, said he was concerned conversion therapy was still being used by some religious groups, and David Walker, the Bishop on Manchester, also backed the inquiry.
This year, the UK government announced that they intend to ban the harmful practice.
