Chief psychiatrist compared gay sex to having an underwear sniffing fetish

A chief psychiatrist has compared gay sex to an orgasm after sniffing underwear.
Dr Kwesi Osei is Ghana’s leading psychiatrist and in a recent tirade, he slammed LGBT+ rights activists who are calling on the government to decriminalise homosexuality.
Osei compared gay sex to the likes of paedophilia and bestiality but also said the act was similar to the fetish of sniffing underwear.
While speaking at the National Coalition for Proper Human Sexual Rights and Family Values, he said: “We cannot legalise gay rights. This is not to say that we must seek out people who are gay and persecute them.
“But we can also not legalise gay rights. Homosexuality is no different from bestiality, or paedophilia or fetishism where people smell undergarments for sexual satisfaction.
“There is absolutely no scientific basis, yes, there is a biological basis – a hormonal imbalance – of some people having homosexual tendencies, and that is the biological basis of their being abnormal with respect to their sexual orientation.”
Gay sex is still illegal in Ghana and can result in up to three years of imprisonment for anyone found guilty.
However, President Nana Akufo-Addo said he can see a future where the country does decriminalise homosexuality.
He recently said: “I think it is something that is bound to happen.”
