Cameron: ‘I got a lot of letters thanking me for same-sex marriage’

David Cameron has revealed that same-sex marriage was one of his main highlights of last year.

During a Q&A session today (January 10), the conservative Prime Minister told the crowd that his two proudest moments were seeing the UK becoming the fastest growing EU economy and paving way for same-sex marriage to become legalised.

“I did get a lot of letters from men who said, because of the changes you made, I have been able to marry the person I love,” he told the crowd. “That was great.”
