Another gay London bar closes

By Fabio Crispim

Another gay London bar has closed down.

Shadow Lounge’s managing company, Novus Leisure announced the bars closure. Speaking to Gay Star News, a spokesman said:

“After many years of trading the venue we have taken the difficult decision to close the business and concentrate our efforts on our two neighbouring businesses, bar Soho and Village.”

One of the clubs DJs bid the club farewell.

“So sad to hear the news about Shadow Lounge closing. I’ve only been DJing there a short time but it’s been a very happy time, and it has been one of my favourite gigs.”

Customers, staff members and other DJs have paid tribute to the bar over Facebook and Twitter.

The Shadow Lounge joins a large number of LGBT venues that have  recently closed around London.
