Polestar 4 SUV: New electric model brings more space and practicality
The Polestar 4 SUV introduces more space, more colours and several features designed for outdoor adventures

Polestar has unveiled its new electric SUV, launching with up to 391 miles of range, more space and enhanced practicality for everyday usability.
Named the Polestar 4 SUV, the car serves as a more practical variant of the Polestar 4 coupé and takes aim at the compact executive SUV market.
Compared with its fastback coupé-style sibling, the SUV gets a straighter roofline, a more upright tailgate and full-length roof rails, with a dynamic roof load capacity of 100kg. The rear window returns too, meaning drivers get a conventional rear-view mirror rather than the camera feed used in the coupé, though the digital mirror is available as an option.
For those looking to stand out from the crowd, the Polestar 4 SUV arrives with an expanded eight-colour exterior palette, including new Aurora (a bright silver green) and Ozone Matte (a bright silver purple in a matte clear-coat).
Inside the Polestar 4 SUV
Take a look inside the vehicle and drivers will find the same technology-focused design as the Polestar 4 coupé, with cosmic-themed ambient lighting, nine touchscreen shortcuts in place of the previous six, and an optional 12-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound system tuned specifically for the SUV.
The SUV also offers more space for passengers, with an additional 2.5cm of headroom in the second row, complemented by a larger panoramic glass roof that stretches towards the tailgate. An electrochromic version, which tints in segments at the touch of the centre display, comes as an option.
In terms of storage, the rear boot provides 530 litres of space up to the seatbacks, or 655 litres for those eagle-eyed motorheads measuring to the inner roof. Fold the 60/40 split rear seats and that rises to 1,665 litres, or 1,680 litres once the front luggage compartment joins the total.
Two powertrain options
The Polestar 4 SUV will be available with two powertrains. The Rear motor version produces 200kW (272hp) and 343Nm, covering 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds and up to 391 miles on the WLTP cycle. The Dual motor all-wheel-drive version steps up to 400kW (544hp) and 686Nm, cutting the sprint to 3.9 seconds while returning up to 373 miles. Both use a 100kWh battery and charge at up to 200kW on DC.
The Polestar 4 SUV also introduces several features designed for outdoor adventures. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality allows the car to supply up to 3.3kW of AC power to external devices, including camping equipment, power tools and consumer electronics.
For those who enjoy the great outdoors, the vehicle offers its very own built-in camping mode, which turns the parked SUV into a climate-controlled space while allowing occupants to access entertainment and ambient lighting.
Trip planning made easy
In the UK, prices for the Polestar 4 SUV start at £54,750 for the rear motor variant, rising to £60,750 for the dual motor version. The Performance Pack model starts at £68,250.
Production of the Polestar 4 SUV has begun, with the first customer deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
