Allegra in Arosa!

The typical Graubünden greeting, which can be translated from Romansh as “enjoy yourself”, shows how important the well-being of their guests is to the team organizing the Arosa Gay Ski Week. One of Europe’s biggest LGBTQ winter events, it returns for the 18th year in January 2023.

Taking place between 21 and 28 January, the event will see hundreds of LGBTQ snow bunnies from across the world descend on Arosa, Switzerland for yet another lively and colorful festival, as well as some skiing, snowboarding and more.

Friendly staff will be on hand to guide people around the slopes and there’ll be instructors around too for those wanting to take some lessons during their stay and improving their skills.

While the breathtaking views shoulds be enough to tempt most people, even the most resigned couch potato, up on the slopes, those who prefer to stay on flat ground are also catered for.

Extensive winter hiking, ice skating, snowshoe walking, sledging slides, and romantic horse-drawn carriage rides, are all on offer so you can reach the mountain hut midday rendezvous easily and pleasantly on foot!

Away from the slopes, visitors will find themselves with plenty of options for activities throughout the village including daily après-ski and friendship dinners. The issue will be finding the time to get around to everything!

However, in Arosa, day often melts into night with world-class DJs, drag shows, go-go dancers, fondue nights, and a pool party taking place once the sun goes down. Enjoy a sleigh ride under the stars if you fancy! Add to the agenda, the Arosa Drag Race slalom competition and a classical concert at the village church and you can see it’s fairly jam-packed.
