Lipstick and Heels, and DragonHeaded Boogie, no we’re not talking about a Friday night out.
These are titles of Stuart Dalzell’s impressionist paintings, inspired by the golden age of glam rock.
His kaleidoscopic pieces are inspired by cult albums from Seventies icons such as David Bowie, T-Rex and pioneering gay rock star Jobriath.
“It was decadent, shocking, glamorous, and incredibly exciting,” Stuart says of the movement, which he’s been obsessed with since his teens.
In his hands, that era lives on — with a fabulously abstract new twist.
