Australian stars Troye Sivan and PNAU are teaming up for a new single, ‘You Know What I Need’.

The song sees Troye’s delicate vocals combine with PNAU’s addictive, radio-friendly blend of bold pop hooks, modern disco grooves, and sleek synth-pop in a track that’s sure to rocket up the charts.

Nick Littlemore of PNAU says, “Working with Troye again has been amazing! When we wrote this song we had no idea that we would get so lucky to have Troye Sivan singing and bringing his unbridled creativity to the world of PNAU.”

Troye adds, “I’m so happy this song is coming out just before the Australian summer – it sounds like a beach festival to me and I am stoked to have it out.”

PNAU notably collaborated with Sir Elton John and Dua Lipa on the remix of ‘Cold Heart’ last year, with ‘You Know What I Need’ being the act’s first new song since then. The trio – Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes, and Sam Littlemore – have also recently worked on the Elvis soundtrack.

The music video focuses on Troye as he’s brought to life in new ways thanks to AI with trippy, almost psychedelic visuals filling the screen.

The video’s producer Kuba Matyka explains that they were asked to make it look like “a DMT trip inspired by the Stargate sequence from 2001: Space Odyssey,” which they describe as “the best brief we’ve ever got”.

A statement explains that the video was created from Troye filming his performance on his phone. AI was then used to cut him out and add various enhancements to create the ever-changing kaleidoscope seen in the video.
