ShayShay slays a drag lip-sync of Judy Garland’s ‘Come Rain or Come Shine’

The East London queen is feeling the musical fantasy for Superdrag Lip-sync, supported by Slingsby.

By Alastair James

ShayShay is bringing us a bit of old-fashioned class and glamour as she takes on gay icon Judy Garland’s ‘Come Rain or Come Shine’ in a fun and goofy performance.

The East London drag queen gives us her take on the jazzy number complete with reveals (It is a lip sync after all!) as part of Superdrag Lip-sync, supported by Slingsby.

Dressed in a frilly cyan-blue tool dress complete with matching parasol, ShayShay plays up the campiness and gives us a show Judy would be proud of.

Explaining her choice of song, ShayShay says: “Dorothy Gale is my original role model and Judy Garland is the original gay icon! Her birthday and my birthday are just days apart AND right at the start of Pride Season!”

ShayShay tells Attitude that Pride is special to her because it’s “a time to learn about our community’s rich history, educate ourselves on the struggles of those most marginalised within LGBTQIA+, and commit to making a brighter, more accepting future for the queers of tomorrow!”

Also taking part in the Superdrag series is drag artist Chiyo, RuPaul’s Drag Race series 13 alum La La Ri, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars Baga Chipz and Asttina Mandella, as well as Cheddar Gorgeous and Barbs.

Superdrag Lip-sync, supported by Slingsby, is part of Attitude Pride at Home, in association with Klarna, that runs from 17-27 June at attitude.co.uk, youtube.com/attitudemag and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (@attitudemag).
