Radcliffe on ‘best bum’ win: ‘I promise to get it out more’

By Will Stroude

Daniel Radcliffe says he feels “honoured” after being named Britain’s ‘Rear of the Year’ 2015.

The 25-year-old beat off competition from 50 Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan and British tennis ace Andy Murray to win the coveted title earlier this month, but – unlike women’s winner Kym Marsh – was sadly too busy to collect the award in person.

Organisers said of Radcliffe’s victory at the time: “The Harry Potter child star has long-since matured into manhood with stage and screen roles transforming him into something of a sex symbol – baring all in the London and New York stage productions of ‘Equus’.”

Speaking to E! News at Comic-Con in San Diego this weekend (July 12), Dan finally got round to thanking the British public for the accolade, joking that he’d campaigned “hard” for the prize.

“I’ve been campaigning for years”, he said, adding: “It’s a thing we do in England. You don’t do it in America, because I was going to say, if you don’t do it here in America, maybe my award counts kind of globally.

“Thank you to everyone who voted for me for Rear of the Year. It’s a very prestigious honour.

“I promise to get it out a lot more in the future.”

Thank you Dan. It’s all we ask.
