Professional wrestler Anthony Bowens recorded song for boyfriend Michael Pavano’s birthday

The professional wrestler wanted to give his boyfriend something special for his birthday

Professional wrestler Anthony Bowens has recorded a song for his boyfriend Michael Pavano.

Bowens – who identifies as bisexual – couldn’t decide what to get his boyfriend for his upcoming 24th birthday, but knew he wanted to do something special for him.

After trying to come up with the perfect gift, Bowens decided to give his creative side a go and wrote, recorded and sang Pavano a song called ‘How We Met’.

Speaking to OutSports, Bowens said: “I’m really bad at gift giving and I wanted to make sure that I did something special for him.

“I was wracking my brain as to what it could be and I decided to go the creative route instead something material.”

Working with music producer Nicco DiRenzi, the two created the song which was aimed to show how much his boyfriend had impacted his life.

He continued: “I tried to convey how much Michael has impacted my life and how he helped heal any pain and dismiss any fears I had prior to coming out and living my life freely.

“I combined it with the way I felt after the first night we met two years ago at a bar called Blackthorn in New Jersey and how I feel now in general.

“I don’t always express how I feel as much as I should, so I did my best to show him how much I love and appreciate him.

“Based upon his reaction (which I wish I recorded), I think I accomplished just that.”

Pavano – who is a personal trainer – took to YouTube to show his reaction to the video and said it was the best gift he has ever received.
