Meet the ridiculously beautiful boys of E4’s ‘Shipwrecked’ reboot

Shipwrecked is set to return to British TV screens after seven long years tonight, as a fresh cast of impossibly hot young things are transported to a Pacific paradise with very little in the way of clothing to compete for a share of £50,000.
The popular Channel 4 series, which ran for eight seasons between 1999 and 2011, is back for a revamped three-week run on E4 from Monday (28 January) – and this being 2019, there’s plenty of LGBT diversity for viewers to enjoy.
Following the ‘Battle of the Islands’ format, which ran for four seasons from 2006-2009, the new series sees survivors split two islands before competing to attract and keep new arrivals.
Put simply: The island that proves most popular wins.
The nine contestants who’ll be making their debut in episode one have been unveiled – and with two of the four hunky boys identifiying as gay, you can be sure we’re gooing to be paying close attention over the next three weeks.

About Chris: “It’s been a long year. My mum passed away four months ago and I was her primary carer so I was trying to do that and since she died I’ve been straight into organising my music festival. I signed up for this show to help get away from everything.
“I’ve been approached for shows like First Dates before but they weren’t for me. I’d be up for romance, it’s been a while since I was in a relationship. My dad would give me a slap if I had sex on telly.”

About Kush: “I was in a band from 17 to 21 and I was managed by Geri Halliwell and Simon Fuller. It was the best time of my life. Going to Geri’s house every single day and rehearsing in her garage. I’d like to hope she will support me on the show. She is a bag of fun.

About Harry: “I’ve been approached for Love Island, Celebs Go Dating and The Bachelor. I spoke to them but realistically I’m not about airing my dirty laundry. Chances are you’re probably going to have a fling but I’m not about having a bird.
“I’ll wind a few people up and I get bored quite easily. I’ll probably go sharking. I’ll probably miss the Premier League most for starters and then music.”
