London’s LGBTQ Community Centre has just one week to hit its fundraising target
The crowd-funded project needs your help to become a reality.

The organisers of a campaign to bring London a dedicated LGBTQ Community Centre have issued a renewed appeal for support as the project’s fundraising deadline approaches.
The crowd-funded initative to create a LGBTQ+ community space in the capital has just seven days left to reach its total of £50,000, or all the money raised so far will be lost.
As of Tuesday (June 6) the total money raised stands at £26,712 – just over half of the total that must be pledge before 7:41pm on Wednesday 13 June.
According to organisers, the London LGBTQ Community Centre “will be a completely accessible, multi-purpose space, run by and for LGBTQ+ people.”
The city has been without a dedicated community venue for LGBT people since 1991, when the London Lesbian and Gay Centre was closed down.
The project has already attracted high profile backing from the likes of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, former Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, and Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander, who encouraged fans to donate on Twitter on Tuesday (May 6).
