Bright Light Bright Light covers George Michael’s ‘Spinning the Wheel’ for Attitude Pride at Home

Trust, it’s wheelie good. Sorry…

By Thomas Stichbury

Bright Light Bright Light lived up to his name with a luminous cover of George Michael’s ‘Spinning the Wheel’ for Attitude Pride at Home.

The New York-based singer, aka Rod Thomas, really did shine as he paid tribute to the late music legend and gay icon during the festival’s Opening Party, in partnership with Klarna.

As well as doing George justice, Bright Light Bright Light performed ‘Sensation,’ his collaboration with Jake Shears, of Scissor Sisters fame.

The pop-electro artist also treated fans to another original song, ‘I Used To Be Cool’ – oh, look, he’s wearing a matching vest, what a coincidence…

A special shout-out must go to Bright Light Bright Light’s pink shorts: there may not be any physical Pride parades happening right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t show your support by wearing the skimpiest shorts you can find.

If they do not scream ‘wardrobe-malfunction-waiting-to-happen’, don’t bother.
